I think life is best summed up in the saying Life is hard, but God is good. I can attest to this. My life has been full of mountaintops and valleys, but God has been there through every high and low.
I have always loved to write, but I didn’t start writing professionally until my late 20s or early 30s when my mom opted to print one of my poems in her magazine. That led to a regular article column for a number of years. During that time, a friend asked if I would write a Sunday devotional for his blog. When he closed his blog, another door opened, and I still write for Music Scribe.
I have not written much the last couple of years, but my heart is to keep sharing the things God lays on my heart. Since I also work full-time and have family and friends in which I invest my time, I cannot promise daily or even weekly posts, but I will write when I have time to formulate my thoughts. Therefore, I encourage you to subscribe so you know when a new post is active.
If I could summarize my message, it would be as follows:
- No matter what you are going through, there is always something to be thankful for.
- If you are too busy to spend time with God, you are too busy.
- Prayer and Bible study (not just reading) are as vital as food and water.
